Beery Good Chicken

Ingredient -

These five ingredients pack a lot of flavor. The sauce is delicious so be sure to serve with mashed potatoes, noodles or rice to sop it up.
  • 1 whole chicken, cut up
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1 bottle or can of beer
  • 2 tablespoons flour
Preparation Method

Remove the skin from the chicken pieces. Use a paper towel to assist in this slippery task. It grips the skin like magic!

Heat oil in deep heavy skillet or dutch oven. Brown chicken pieces. Add packet of dry soup mix and beer and stir. Bring to a simmer, lower heat, cover, and simmer for about 50 - 60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is tender.

Dissolve flour in a little cold water (use a tightly covered jar to combine and shake well until smooth). Add flour mixture to pan, and stir constantly until the sauce is thickened.

Serve with mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice.
